How do I fit a mouth guard?
Boil it, then bite and mould it to your own teeth before first use. An unmoulded guard shifts on impact and does not protect.
Do I need a groin guard?
For any discipline with knees or body kicks, yes. Most clubs will not let you spar without one.
What are arm pads for?
They let a coach or partner absorb strikes on the forearm through a long pad round without bruising.
