Building a home gym
You do not need a room full of machines to train at home. A pair of dumbbells, a mat and a skipping rope cover strength, floor work and conditioning in a small space. Our neoprene hex dumbbells and kettlebell dumbbells both go from 1 kg to 5 kg at Rs 800 per kilo, priced per dumbbell. The neoprene coating is grippy with damp hands and kind to tiled floors; the kettlebell style suits swings and goblet squats.
For the floor, the yoga mat comes in 6 mm (Rs 750) and 8 mm (Rs 850). Skipping ropes start at Rs 150, with a weighted speed rope at the top of the range. After that it depends on what you want to work on: a foam roller for warm-ups and recovery, an ab wheel and an exercise ball for core work, push-up bars to take strain off the wrists, an arm blaster for strict curls, and a dip belt when bodyweight pull-ups get easy. Lifting belts, straps and gloves are in the main gym accessories range.
