Nova Karate Gi — Adults, Women's & Kids

A plain white karate gi for club training, gradings and competition in Mauritius. One uniform, twelve sizes — the same cut serves men, women and children, because a gi is sized by height rather than by build.

Two qualities

• A Quality — Rs 1,200. Our standard club gi. Fuller through the jacket, heavier cloth, holds its shape through repeated washing.
• B Quality — Rs 1,100. A lighter, cheaper gi. Good for a beginner or a child who will outgrow it within the year.

Both qualities

• Traditional wrap jacket with inside and outside ties
• Reinforced V-neck collar with stitched lapel
• Side vents at the jacket hem so it does not ride up
• Straight-leg trousers with a drawstring waist
• Nova Sports mark on the chest
• Plain white throughout, as most clubs and federations require

Choosing a size

Karate sizes go by the wearer's height, not by clothing size. Measure the wearer and pick the nearest size — 140 cm for a child of about 140 cm tall, 180 cm for an adult of about 180 cm. If they are between two sizes, take the larger one; a gi shrinks a little with washing.
